Everybody’s Talking About Jamie - Fairy tales really do come true!
What’s Everybody’s Talking About Jamie about?
Once upon a time, there was a 16-year-old boy who had a secret. But this boy wanted to tell the whole world…and soon his secret became a West End Musical! Inspired by a true story, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is the award-winning hit musical about a boy who wants to be a drag queen.
Jamie New is sixteen and lives on a council estate in Sheffield where he doesn’t quite fit in. Even though he’s terrified about the future, Jamie knows deep down that he’s destined for greatness. Supported by his brilliant, loving mum and surrounded by loyal friends, Jamie overcomes prejudice, beats the bullies and steps out of the darkness, into the spotlight.
Everybody’s Talking About Jamie delivers a simple message that’s more relevant today than ever – never be afraid to be yourself.
The show now returns to the West End with a twenty-five strong company and a nine-piece band that will ‘sweep you away on a tide of mischief, warmth and exuberance’ (Financial Times).
